Scheduled on February 7, 2024, the first edition of the Decentralised Renewable Energy Forum will focusĀ on the Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE), highlighting the potential of Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE), particularly DRE-powered cooking appliances in the North-East of India. Alongside the Forum, there will be an Expo, providing an opportunity for DRE advocates in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors to showcase their work to their peers and academic community.
GOGLA supports policymakers across Asia to develop the enabling environment needed for the industry to thrive and aims to help development partners create the interventions needed to rapidly accelerate access to clean energy and green jobs. Praviin B Kumaar, South Asia Regional Representative and Karsan Reddy, Program Officer for the South Asia Region, will represent GOGLA at the Forum, to shed light on the transformative potential of productive uses of renewable energy.
GOGLA team will have a booth in the display area throughout the day. At 14:55 PM, Praviin B Kumaar will be participating as a session chair at the ‘Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) for Green Economic Transformation‘. The discussion will center around the potential job opportunities that PURE appliances and products can bring to rural areas, as well as the ways in which new technological innovations can drive green growth.
